Job Description:
As required by quality control program manual, perform activities such as audits, preparation of company standards, notification to management of quality problems, etc. Provide administrative and technical direction to all quality control personnel - includes personnel administration, resolution of technical problems, development/approval of in-house training, etc. Act as liaison with owners, agencies, subcontractors and/or internal departments on quality related matters as required. Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist employees in solving work problems. Ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of noncompliance. Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product. Coordinate quality control objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and maximize costs. Direct technicians engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring work activities such as preparation of records, progress reports, etc. in order to inform management of current status or work activities. Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions.
