Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate and provide insight into financial implications of pricing, pricing agreements, and all other sales-related activities. Partner with sales and marketing organization, providing strong leadership and analytical support. Establish common sales and pricing assumptions to be used in the budgeting and forecasting process and act as the financial liaison to the Sales & Order Planning process. Provide sales and standard margin analysis to support optimal product line / regional mix management. Ensure adherence to sales plan while also identifying risks and opportunities to support strategic goals and objectives. Support calculation of sales commissions and bonuses to provide payments which are both fair and competitive, ensure that individual differences in performance are properly recognized, and earn the company a fair return on its investment. Performs regular analysis of Accounts Receivable activities providing support when necessary. Perform detailed analysis of Selling, General, and Administrative expenditures, with a special emphasis on headcount, labor, and office supplies. Compare month end actual results to budget, identifying variances, trends, and extraordinary impacts. Provide value added variance analysis to highlight issues or opportunities and promote understanding. Influence level of costs through continuous assessment of resources deployed and value of services received. Establish Financial Planning & Analysis function by developing tools and processes (i.e., monthly close package, project controlling, etc.) to better understand the business and provide a structured approach to budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Provide coaching and counseling to organization in this regard, allowing the organization to better utilize data so as to make informed business decisions. Identify trend lines and run rates; challenge management constructively with compelling data to address issues early.
