Job Description:
Work closely with Corporate Banking and other lines of business to execute on portfolio management strategies to mitigate risk, maximize profitability, maintain high asset quality while meeting customer needs for an assigned portfolio Manage and develop assigned loan portfolio which includes performance of annual reviews, monitoring of interim financial statements and trends within the industry of the client Approve additional risk exposure to assigned clients, within approved level of personal authority including loans, treasury management products, foreign exchange products and derivative exposure Ensure that sound underwriting principles and guidelines are maintained within the accounts they monitor and that these accounts conform to all reporting and regulatory requirements When warranted, the portfolio manager will recommend changes to the loan grade assigned relationship and will also implement strategies to reduce the risk of loss in deteriorating situations Lifts much of the daily and monthly account administration work off the related Relationship Manager and ensures that this work is done promptly and effectively Serve as mentor and guide to analysts in developing key portfolio, underwriting and leadership competencies Serve as advisor to other Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers as they encounter more complex deals and would benefit from additional inputs
