Assures that policy and procedures are followed; proper qualified staffing levels are maintained; supplies and equipment are at sufficient levels; that the case management department is integrated with the other departments in the hospital. As such, the individual's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following activities: Coordinates and integrates services within their department and with other departments. Plans, directs, and monitors the scheduling, budgeting, and utilization of qualified, competent persons to provide case management/social services, based on census and acuity of patient needs. Maintains appropriate quality control programs. Actively participates in Partnership for change. Assumes directors duties when director is absent. Collaborates with bed utilization case managers. Conducts Patient Rounds. Collects data, analyzes information and develops courses of action and innovative solutions. Ensures facility is compliant for federal, state, local and other regulatory bodies.
