Job Description:
The Nurse Director functions as a part of a leadership team designed to plan, organize, direct and control the health care process through the overall management of assigned clinical areas while assuming the responsibility and accountability for daily operations. The Nurse Director is directly responsible to the Chief Nursing Officer. The Director is responsible for management of patient care delivery systems to provide nursing care, which meets or exceeds all reasonable customer expectations, Human resources management geared toward recruitment and retention of superlative associates/team members, continuous performance measurement and improvement, fiscal management of the department as evidenced by understanding of customer supplier models, implementation and management of organizational change and developing and meeting unit goals, programs and processes. Education and Experience: Graduate of a State accredited School of Nursing-Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree, preferred.
