Job Description:
This position is very diverse and requires extensive public contact, resolution of organizational issues, mediation skills, community involvement, and strong government relations. It includes the overall responsibility for the operations of the Brisbane Chamber of Commerce, working under policy guidelines set by the Board of Directors.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and supervise communications from the Chamber to the membership and the general public. Ensure that concerns are regularly communicated to all parties affected.Develop and Coordinate all monthly events including Luncheons, Dinners and After Hours programsMaintain detailed financial records with audit trails. Take responsibility for all banking, bookkeeping, and financial records. Report monthly to the Board of Directors. Issue monthly invoices for Luminary advertising, program luncheon charges, etc. Collect on receivables.Issue checks for all payables throughout the month.Reconcile all bank accounts each monthMaintain and constantly update databases, coordinating Chamber records and the City of Brisbane license reports. Read and respond to email as needed each day.Monitor phones and e-mail constantly. Return calls every few hours when away from the office.Work with City Staff to provide early input on business issues and keep Chamber members informed on City activity.
