Assist with disseminating accounting requirements to all areas affected throughout the Company. Assist with drafting the Companys response to proposed statutory and GAAP accounting standards that are significant in nature to the Companys results. Participate on Industry accounting committees (NAIC Interested Parties and ACLI Accounting Committee). Assist with the review of potential structured transactions (CDOs, etc.) to assess all statutory and GAAP accounting issues. Assist with research of selected accounting issues from various sources (business units, senior management, etc.) on an ad hoc basis. Review of new products and product enhancements for statutory and GAAP accounting issues. Insuring that proper accounting is put in place. Assist with maintenance of an accounting policy and procedures manual. Job Location NY - NYC Home Office Department CONTROLLERS DEPARTMENT Position Type Full Time AutoReqId 2810BR Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Accounting Accounting policy experience a must. Seven to ten years of GAAP and statutory accounting experience Proven managerial experience is a must; as well as excellent computer, interpersonal and analytical skills.
