Accountability for driving Continuous improvement initiatives in assigned NAT factories Plan, organize and direct the business planning and the key initiatives for these facilities Drive operational analysis of plant capacity vs. requirement Drive business performance in terms of:Cost - assess areas of opportunity)Safety - ensure procedures are followed and processed are in placeQuality - monitor performance and improve the quality of products for all plants Line Item Schedule attainment - ensure that the plants manufacture what is required by the customer Manage the New Product Development process through manufacturing process Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in the business planning process and develop key initiatives for the manufacturing organization. Drive performance to these objectives by introducing and maintaining progressive CI and IE systems in the plants In partnership with NAT manufacturing and plant manufacturing leadership, this position will develop the continuous improvement goals and actions of the enterprise Assist in the development of AOP objectives as they relate to the incorporation and utilization of continuous improvement methodology Drive the integration of Output Standards in the factories using recognized industrial engineering methodologies Work with plant industrial engineering staff and plant management to implement systems and drive performance improvement Coordinate new product development initiatives between the plants and the New Product Development team in Akron Assure that plant processes are capable of supporting new products and drive initiative to continuously improve plant processes in support of new product
