Job Description: This is a permanent full time position. Hours of work are 8:30 – 4:30 pm daily with some weekend work expected. This position has a large component of administration work in an office environment dealing with membership requests, planning and delivering programs. The successful candidate will work closely with the current staff and association Board of Directors. Program Coordinator may also provide leadership for part-time and seasonal staff.
Job Requirements: • Formal training and experience in the field of Sport Administration, physical education, recreation, or a related field and have practical experience in organizing events. • Technical knowledge of Softball, Long Term Athlete Development Model, and the National Coaching Certification Program is a definite asset. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Ability to relate to grassroots organizations. • Interest in physical activity and youth. • Good organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. • Knowledge of and experience with MS Office as well as other computer programs.
