Army Community Services Div., Aberdeen Proving Ground, MDAbout the Position: Performs extensive oversight of volunteer placements and qualification requirements necessary to provide effective support. Reviews volunteer?s application and makes placement assessments/decisions for current vacancies. Establishes qualification requirements to include identifying education and experience requirements, required skills/abilities and considers the volunteer's level of interest to ensure quality support is provided to organizations. Visits managers and supervisors within government and private sector organizations (both on and off the installation) to promote program services, identify and discuss contributions and benefits gained from utilizing volunteers and to address and resolve concerns or problems stemming from inadequate or improper services provided by volunteer employees. Who May Aements necessary to perform volunteer services and leadership assignments in a variety of settings, e.g., office services, medical/hospital support, youth activities, recreational services, religious and cultural support services, etc. Qualifications:Click on link below to view qualification standard. General Schedulesponsibility for resolving program service issues and documenting creditable work experience. This year of Specialized Experience must be equivalent to the next lower level within the YA-02 pay band. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION: Applicants may substitute 3 full years of graduate level education or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field of study related to this position in lieu of meeting the Specialized Experience requirements identified above. Applicants may also qualify for this position based on a combination of the education and experience described above.
