Job Description:
DESCRIPTION:
Client designs and builds CNC Machine Tools and related equipment and is looking for an individual to be lead builder in the assembly, installation and service of CNC machine tools and related equipment. Individual must be able to read engineering drawings, inspect and measure precision parts, assembly complex assemblies from BOM and drawings performing precision fits, geometric alignment for squareness, parallelism and leveling of machine bases and linear slides. The individual should have a working knowledge of laser metrology equipment, precision levels and related equipment for the setup and alignment of machine tools. The builder must be familiar with mechanical, electrical, fluid and pneumatic systems and be familiar with the basic operation and theory of CNC machine tools. Additional responsibilities include the troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of all machine systems and field installation, training and service of BEC equipment (10% or less). We are seeking and individual with proven prior experience in all facets of machine building as it pertains to the responsibilities and duties outlined above. Experience with Fanuc or Siemens CNC’s is a plus. The individual will be groomed to take over full responsibility of all machine tool assembly. This is a growth opportunity for a motivated individual.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications: Proven prior experience in all facets of machine building.
High School Diploma, Associates Technical Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Electronics or related
and or equivalent trade school.
and or Certification: NIMS Level II/III Machine Building Skills
3 years minimum work experience in same or related field (industry)
Be able to recognize and apply precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier, dial and electronic calipers, dial indicators, alignment gages, parallels and squares.
Able to use Saw, Drill Press, Arbor Press, Manual Milling Machines, Lathes and Grinders to manufacture simple parts.
Lifting Requirements: up to 50 lbs. /10% per week
• Field set up and service of machines as required (less than 10% of time)
