Job Description:
Include the following: Supervise maintenance staff; and assign and monitor maintenance projects. Conduct regular inspections of operating mechanical, electrical and equipment systems; make necessary adjustments to operating equipment and controls. Assist with maintenance/engineering issues (plumbing, HVAC, electrical) as required. Assist with the administration of inventory control programs and systems. Provide for quality assurance by creating and implementing preventive maintenance programs and recommending improvements to existing programs on an on-going basis. Develop/maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals. Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians. Maintain on-going communication with tenants, owners, property management and vendors. Coordinate development of and/or maintain as-built drawings. Respond quickly to emergency situations (i.e. fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns. Prepare and maintain engineering reports. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives as relates to building operations.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelors degree preferred. Minimum of 4 years related experience. Experience as a building engineer within a critical facility or data center.
