(CCI) is seeking a Senior Project Construction Engineer with strong field background to be based on 200m plus Design Build Transportation project in Las Vegas. Duties: Ø Change Orders o Assessing owner mandated specification changes to determine cost and/or schedule impacts and drafting response letters o Tracking ‘Issues’ from inception to closeout by retirement without affect or closeout by issuance of a change order. (Issues are any communication, concept, idea, event or occurrence that has the potential of increasing the cost or time for the performance of the work.) o Drafting change order cover letters for issuance to the owner Ø Cost Estimating: o Performing cost benefit analysis’ as a part of the decision-making process for optimizing construction. This will sometimes include an analysis of concepts for increased design to save construction dollars o Estimating Change Orders, whether owner or NCC driven Ø Quantities: o Quantity take offs and senior review of quantity take offs by others. o Quantity analysis between Estimate/Definitive Design/Release For Construction Design o Daily/weekly cost and quantity analysis Ø Other: o Assist project engineer in training junior field engineers BS Degree in Construction Management or minimum of 10 years heavy highway experience in lieu of degree. A drug test and standard background check is required. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering/ Construction Management or related field preferred. The ideal candidate will have 10-20 years applicable experience or equivalent working knowledge/experience. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access desired. Experience with Primavera P3 scheduling software and Expedition software is highly preferred.
