This position is open to Merit-Promotion eligibles and all US citizens A copy of college transcripts is required Applications must be received by the closing date Eligibility verification for merit applicants is required Veterans are required to submit a DD-214 (SF-15, VA letter, if applicable) Major Duties: The incumbent will be responsible for supervising and performing test engineering for the BMDS at the system, element, and/or component level. Supports the acquisition programs by development of valid and appropriate test strategies. Develops the integrated and Developmental Master Test Plan, detailed test plans, and simulation support plans. Supports the development of data requirements, collection, analysis, and archival. Participates in Test and Evaluation Integrated Product Teams (T&E IPTs), test readiness reviews and other relevant working groups and forums to represent the interests of the Acquisition Executive. Provides input to acquisition decisions based on assessment of the adequacy of test and evaluation programs and assessment of the results of test and evaluation. Supports program reviews, milestone decisions, DAES, and other decision forums. Performs risk assessments when directed. Monitors the performance of technical risks for tests. Develops techniques to monitor integrated test programs, plans, and schedules for adequacy. Qualifications: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships).
