Job Description:
Performs a full range of field engineering functions associated with assigned projects such as new construction of small structures or construction of one or two types of structures; facility upgrades, structural repairs, etc. Performs bid ability, constructability, operability reviews of plans and specifications, and reviews contractor?s proposed working schedules for logic. Interprets plans and specifications, and inspects contractor workmanship, equipment, and materials for contract conformance. Provides field measurements, computations and cost estimates for use by office engineers in preparing contract modifications. Reviews contractor pay estimates, shop drawings, other submittals, and prepares daily reports. Prepares Quality Assurance punchlist on final inspections and review as-builts. Compiles data and prepares a variety of correspondences and reports. Ensures strict adherence to contract safety provisions.Qualifications:Click on link below to view qualification standard. General Schedule One year of experience at the next lower level pay band demonstratiing experience with construction practices, costs, materials and equipment and techniques. Experience reading and interpreting engineering and architectural plans and specifications. Experience conveying your interpretation through written word.
