Job Description:
Serve as the firm's liaison to search firm personnel engaged to meet hiring needs. Negotiate search firm agreements, initially under a partner's supervision. Maintain communication; obtain information regarding status of job market; provide and obtain feedback regarding candidates. Act as point-person for placements; place advertisements and coordinate lateral recruiting trips. 3. Act as liaison to lateral candidates throughout the interviewing process. 4. Manage callback interview process, including but not limited to scheduling, greeting and communicating with candidates. Facilitate decision making process and follow-up, including offer letters and necessary reference checks. 5. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of all tracking charts and hiring statistics . 6. Work with Legal Recruitment staff in other offices to develop and promote Firm wide recruiting efforts. 7. Support diversity hiring goals. 8. Determine new and cost effective methods regarding lateral searches in a competitive legal market. 9. Represent the firm through membership in the National Association for Law Placement and local legal recruiting organizations. 10. Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Legal Recruiting. Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, JD preferred Proficiency in the use of computer programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and database programs (e.g., LawCruit) Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills Work experience in a law firm, legal recruiting department or career services office required Essential Capabilities: Flexibility in responding quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of firm personnel. Must be team-oriented and able to share information, goals, opportunities, successes and failures with the appropriate parties. Must pay attention to details and have the ability to follow up and follow through.
