Job Description:
Domestic Recruitment Committee, which focuses on improving customer service to domestic students. Assists with implementation of plans that have been approved by the Director and serves as a member of the Board of Admissions, which reviews and evaluates applications to determine admissions eligibility. Performs as the domestic student recruiter through admissions presentations and counseling on and off campus, and assists priority domestic applicants. Develops relationships with music educators, performing arts high schools and other communities likely to yield talented prospects. Plans and implements follow-up activities for domestic applicants to meet enrollment goals. Extensive recruitment travel required. Qualifications: Bachelor's required with experience in college admissions/recruitment, sales, and customer service. Must possess a strong commitment to prospective student servicing. Specialized skills and experience in broad and prospective student experiences. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Musical background, strong understanding of music business industry, and music theory knowledge. Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for career counseling and guidance. Knowledge of and ability to counsel various types of prospective students. Strong understanding and knowledge of US educational system. Sensitivity to multicultural and socio-economic issues.
