To successfully fill this position, the candidate must be able to perform each of the essential skills and responsibilities listed below with or without direction, on either an individual or collaborative basis as the situation warrants. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates who hold a degree or advanced degree(s) in either accounting or business administration. Further, we will heavily value first hand, relevant and successful experience of at least five (5) years in a similar position. We are seeking a professional with experience in full charge bookkeeping, financial management, and financial reporting. This position requires computer proficiency. Our client maintains its books and records on a hosted (Internet-based) one-write, double entry full-cycle accounting system. The Controller will have the primary responsibility for operating and maintaining this system. Public company accounting and reporting is helpful, but not necessary. Licensure in Public accounting is also not required, but would be considered a definite plus. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The successful applicant for this position will have primary organizational responsibility to: Maintain the companys accounts, recordkeeping systems, and financial reporting systems on its computerized accounting and document management systems; On a regular basis, prepare and report to senior management the balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices, and any other reports as may be required from time to time. Be the primary point of contact for the companys auditors, plus any taxing entities or applicable licensors to whom the company reports sales activities upon which either taxes or royalties are based.
