QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Must have at least three years experience in physical therapy. Experience in program development required. Evidence of on-going professional development required. Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment. DUTIES: Assumes all responsibilities as outlines on the Senior Physical Therapist job profile. Assists the Rehabilitation Services Director in developing policies and procedures related to professional development, the delivery of care, quality improvement, and professional competency. Assists the Rehabilitation Services Director in administrative tasks related to daily department functioning. Evaluates the performance of the physical therapy staff. Provides orientation for new personnel. Provides direct supervision of professional and support staff. Provides leadership in the development, implementation, and review of patient care and professional development programs. May provide clinical consultation and/or mentoring for professional staff. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the criteria for professional practice. Assumes responsibility for proper functioning of the Physical Therapy services in the absence of the Rehabilitation Services Director. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures. Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis.
