Job Description:
The temperature averages 33 degrees in January, 75 degrees in July. The average annual seasonal snowfall is 21 inches, and the average annual rainfall is 41 inches. Travel: Minimal travel may be required. Physical Demands: Work may require considerable walking, standing, stooping, bending, and/or carrying of light to moderately-heavy objects on a recurring basis. Policy has been implemented wherein support employees entering a position through a competitive or non-competitive action may be precluded from moving to another position within the Bureau by means of reassignment or change to a lower grade for a minimum of 12 months. Key Requirements: U.S. Citizenship Required. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret-SCI clearance. Major Duties: GS 7: Receives assignments in terms of investigative leads and segments of more-routine investigative cases emanating from officially assigned cases. Conducts research of varied information that is potentially pertinent to investigative issue at hand. Analyzes information found to determine relevance, significance, and applicability to the investigation ongoing. Prepares a synopsis of research findings in proper format for inclusion in the official documentation of investigative case results. Prepares routine subpoenas, and participates in personally serving these to individuals identified. Establishes liaison/contacts with counterparts and officials in other state, local, and federal agencies, private industry, and public resources to obtain and exchange information. Receives and/or participates in handling telephonic and face-to-face complaints from outside sources and the general public. GS 9:
