Employees in this role develop specific tactics as part of the overall campaign contact strategy developed by the Marketing Communications Strategist. They are experts in the planning and execution of marketing communications activities such as Advertising, Media Planning, Direct Marketing, Events, Interactive Marketing and Sponsorship Marketing. In addition to the specialty specific skills, they are experienced in managing external parties, for example, agencies, production facilities and contractors. They are responsible for the flawless execution of IMC tactics to achieve the desired results within a given budget. They understand the lead management process and the linkage between campaign contribution and the overall business results. They have high familiarity and skill using the major marketing tools including Business Advantage Tool, Edge, Global Campaign Reporting and GMMP. The role of the IDR communications specialist will be to focus on the planning and execution of an internal communications strategy. Employees in this role will be responsible for identifying key internal audiences, channels for delivery and messaging to effectively support communicating the IDR strategy and value proposition. This person will also be responsible for developing a 'cadence' in which we create a drumbeat for IDR internal messaging. This messaging will incorporate Academic Initiative, developerWorks, alphaWorks and PartnerWorld Industry Networks.
