Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Nursing Services Assumes full-time administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for the delivery of nursing services in the community under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services. Manages community employees in the provision of care and services according to professional standards of nursing practice, consistent with community philosophy of care, state and federal laws and regulations. Assists in the development and implements policy and procedures consistent with current law. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing Services, allocates department resources in an efficient and economic manner to enable each resident to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental and psycho social well-being. Collaborates with other departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations, including government agencies and advocacy groups to develop support and coordination of resident care related administrative functions and to represent the interests of the community.
