These financial matters consist of plant financial analysis, forecasting, month-end responsibilities, and bill of material/cost accounting, materials/inventory control, profit and loss analysis and involvement in ad hoc financial analysis which aids in the improvement of financial performance. This position analyzes controls and maintains financial information for use as a business tool by plant management to measure performance, improve operating costs, and contribute to achieving optimum return on investment objectives. This position will drive change to achieve those goals and requires good judgment, independence and the ability to balance this with the individual's role as a contributor to the management team. This position is expected to interact with the plant and corporate management team and customers to provide financial and commercial support. Food Manufacturing:Plant Financial Support & Analysis (60% of job responsibility) Development of accurate and timely plant profit and loss forecasting. Conducts financial and customer profitability analysis to ascertain the most appropriate plant operations strategies. Responsible for the development and establishment of the plants overall financial process flow, plans, policies and procedures. Serves as principal financial advisor for the Batavia Operations team. Responsible for month-end process and procedures which includes: accruals, journal entries, inventory valuation, inventory accuracy and balance sheet reconciliation Cost leadership position which would includes insight and analysis on crewing, labor analysis and other key variable costs control. Determines optimal balance of volume, profit and capacity by line and customer. Plant Metric reporting and analysis.
