Responsibilities Overall responsibility for WSNS-TV's news gathering, production, news programming, presentation and digital content distribution efforts. To ensure WSNS-TV's newscasts are well-conceived and provide high quality coverage, accuracy, integrity and result in an improved competitive position in the market. To implement strategic mission and tactical operation of newsroom while maintaining the highest levels of journalistic, ethical, TV production, digital platform and promotion standards. Oversee day-to-day news coverage, big story, breaking news and sweeps planning while considering budgets, staffing, field and on-site news operations to meet established goals and objectives. Achieve the highest standard of integrity in news operation and on-air broadcast. Effectively manage, mentor and lead team of News professionals. Qualifications Minimum of a BS/BA degree. Minimum 5 years TV broadcast experience as News management in major markets. Minimum of 3 years experience working with computers: Internet and broadcast news systems as well as regular MS applications such as MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook.
