A juicy little tidbit of insight before we get going... our client sees successful execution as the following: Volumes of exposure for our content and brand that will translate to new, meaningful amounts of eyeballs to the promoted areas. Gun Profile: You. You're connected online; you understand social media, the blogosphere, and how the etiquette game is played. You also understand online PR and how to create the right relationships with the right outlets to benefit both the media company you work for and the site you're linking to. You understand that context is king when it comes to curating the right kind of ecosystem with the blogging world. Nitty Gritty: You will be the mastermind behind the site's social media outreach strategy. The great news is that there is a ton of content to get out there. The bad news? There's a ton of content to get out there. Your first task will be to establish the blog outreach strategy for this general interest site and make the most of its broad and rich content. You will work with the site editors to bucketize the content into key verticals; the long tail strategy will kick in as you micro-target the key bloggers whose voices are influential with each vertical.
