The day supervisor will be expected to set the agenda for the daily news report, edit and file copy, assign stories and work in multiple platforms to deliver news accurately and quickly. The supervisor will work with the bureau's news editor, regional and national editors and reporters to produce a compelling and competitive news report from Utah. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a reporter and a desk editor. This individual must be able to work under deadline pressure in a competitive environment. The applicant needs excellent news judgment, solid writing and editing skills and an ability to identify story possibilities for a global audience. The candidate needs a well-developed interest and awareness of news around the world. The successful candidate will be able to work with a variety of reporters and editors to coordinate and deliver content that meets the needs of AP's diverse, worldwide customer base, including newspapers, broadcast outlets, Web sites and wireless devices.
