Job Description: The Assistant ND must be a team player, have plenty of patience and a desire to teach. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Writes, hosts and produces WFUV\'s daily morning newscasts. Serves as assignment editor to set daily news agenda. Handles weekday/weekend scheduling of anchors, reporters and freelancers. Assists News Director in recruiting, training and supervising student news and public affairs staff. Works with students to gather sound for newscasts. Reviews and edits scripts for air. Works with News Director to conceive and realize special projects, including election night specials, forums and other programs. Qualifications: At least three years of experience in radio, including production experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred. Knowledge and interest in WFUV\'s AAA music format helpful.
