With an annual budget of over $20 million, PROTOTYPES seeks an energetic and experienced non-profit fundraising leader with an entrepreneurial spirit for newly created role of Chief Development Officer. The Chief Development Officer (CDO) will be responsible for the design and execution of a comprehensive and diverse fundraising plan including individual giving, special events, major gifts, corporate giving, planned giving, direct mail, e-philanthropy, etc. The CDO reports to the Chief Executive Officer and plays a critical role in identifying, cultivating and soliciting major donors. The CDO will work in close collaboration with the Board of Directors, CEO and other executive staff to achieve the fundraising goals of the organization. The CDO is responsible for providing leadership, direction and coordination for all aspects of fundraising. Responsibilities: ü Take primary responsibility for developing and executing PROTOTYPES' fundraising strategy, including donor identification, cultivation and stewardship; funding proposals; and online and event-based fundraising. ü Build major donor program. ü Establish, manage and regularly report on fundraising goals and timelines. ü Provide leadership and direction to the organization to engage others, as appropriate, in fund development. ü Represent PROTOTYPES in meetings and presentations to current and prospective donors. ü Manage systems and processes for prospect research, donor cultivation and information tracking.
