Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Development and External Affairs and working closely with all members of the Development Department, the successful candidate will establish and manage a results-oriented program and will be responsible for achieving specific dollar and programmatic annual goals. Specifically, the Director of Individual Giving will identify, cultivate, solicite and steward donors. S/he will grow the current individual donor database and devise strategies to encourage repeat giving and increased giving levels while proactively identifying donors who should be cultivated as major donors. Develop a communications strategy and calendar for donors and prospects, as well as develop and design an approach to engaging, cultivating and soliciting donors and prospects online. Develop and oversee production of written and electronic materials and develop and maintain a variety of giving methods to include current, deferred giving and non-cash gifts. Prepare specific proposals and publications for presentation to current and prospective donors, and prepare briefing materials for executive staff and Trustees as needed. We are looking for an energetic and creative individual to join a tight-knit team of five people. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing an exciting and vibrant individual giving program by showcasing the incredible work of the program staff and children and using a donor-centered, but mission-driven approach to donor engagement.
