Job Description: Staff management Recruit, train, motivate, manage and retain a talented staff of eight. Set ambitious goals, allocate staff resources, and manage progress toward goals; anticipate and resolve problems that might impede progress toward those goals. With the Director of Communications, serve as one of two senior managers on the external relations team, including supervision of the entire team when the associate dean is out of the office. Operations Manage team budgets, expenses, reporting and all other operational functions. This includes managing and reporting regularly to the dean\'s office on solicitations, progress in The Stanford Challenge campaign, and allocation of matching funds. Responsible for all Office of Development (OOD) internal processes such as the Prospect Clearing Process (PCP) and Volunteer Enlistment Process (VEP). Serve as liaison to internal units within OOD and H&S for issues related to finance, IT, gift processing, campaign operations, etc. Fundraising Manage all fundraising activity by three associate directors of development, including prospecting and developing strategies for major gift cultivation and solicitation. Serve as lead fundraiser on several of the school\'s development priorities. In collaboration with H&S and other OOD staff, identify, cultivate and solicit prospects for these priorities. Enlist faculty as appropriate and manage their participation in development activities. Assist the associate dean in managing the dean of the school\'s development activities. Pipeline Collaborate with central OOD field staff to identify prospects; manage the H&S pipeline, which should include individual, corporate and foundation prospects. Build and manage robust prospect portfolios and pipelines for the three associate directors of development in H&S. In collaboration with the associate dean, manage the dean of the school\'s relationships with numerous major prospects and donors.
