Job Description:
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER for our Chicago office. Gensler`s goal is to harness design's ability to empower people and transform organizations. We are an entrepreneurial firm committed to teamwork, innovation, and delivering value to our clients. The Intermediate Architectural Designer will be responsible for: Translating clients' functional and spatial requirements for structures into feasible design solutions. Preparing sketches, working drawings, architectural detail specifications for concept design presentations and presentation packages using 2D/3D software, including , PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator. Applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials in the resolution of complex technical and design issues as they arise. Coordinating with mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and structural consultants to incorporate engineering systems into unified design for client and agency review and approval. Design team guidance, leadership and mentorship. The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered: 7 years or greater architect designer experience. Possess knowledge of building codes, standards and structures.
