Job Description:
This position coordinates, implements, supervises and evaluates the religious education program for all grades from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Responsibilities include developing and administering a curriculum for the above programs; recruiting and training catechists and volunteers; directing sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation; as well as planning and organizing faith-enrichment programs for the children and families. The DRE works closely with the pastoral staff, catechists, and members of the parish to meet the educational and spiritual needs of the children and their families in an effective Christian manner. Requirements Candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Religious Education (Master\'s preferred), Theology or a related field. Experience in administration and teaching the Faith is desired. Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills are needed to work effectively in a collaborative ministerial environment. Candidate must be creative, open-minded, and have a desire to grow personally and professionally.
