This person will also be responsible for developing web content and disseminating it to prospective students via our website and other electronic mass communication tools. Additional components of this job include developing outreach strategies (advertising, mailings, follow up) budgeting, event planning, sales/marketing, business writing (memos, email, proposals, reports), and public speaking. This EM's activities will supplement and compliment those of the current EMs who have designated graduate school responsibilities. The EM should possess substantive knowledge of graduate school education and the graduate school market in general, and the Monterey Institute's program in particular. An advanced degree and/or related experience in public relations, admissions, recruitment, and/or marketing is preferred. Excellent technical skills and expertise with social networking activities is required. Requirements: Essential Duties: Coordinates, plans and executes recruitment efforts including identifying appropriate events, travel logistics, event planning, training, technical outreach, and follow-up for all of the Monterey Institute and / or any of its graduate schools. Traveling to various recruiting events to graduate school fairs, career fairs, on campus visits worldwide (about 40% travel). Researches and maintains understanding of the technology market best practices as they relate to higher education and outreach, particularly in social networking activities. Initiates technology trainings on campus for staff to use new tools for outreach and follow up. Oversees and manages the maintenance of all Monterey Institute social networking sites and activities (Facebook, YouTube, Orkut, etc.), including hiring and supervising multiple work-study students who contribute to the sites.
