Job Description: MPA program, with a particular opportunity to contribute in the areas of policy evaluation and applied policy research. The Department welcomes candidates in any of the following substantive areas: nonprofit management, comparative or international public administration, economic development, or intergovernmental relations. Teaching responsibilities may include courses in evaluation research, quantitative methods, survey research, and graduate and undergraduate courses in the individual’s area of specialization. The candidate hired will also have an opportunity to participate in an interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Spatially Integrated Social Science, through collaborative research with colleagues in the program, and in the department's Center for Applied Policy Research. An active research program, effective graduate and undergraduate teaching, and appropriate professional service are expected. Salary and benefits are competitive and there are additional opportunities for summer research funding. The department has nine full time faculty members, approximately 180 undergraduate majors and 50 graduate students in the M.A. and M.P.A. programs.
