Job Description:
GEL COAT SPRAY PAINTER/FIBREGLASS WORKER JOB DESCRIPTION
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Reading and interpreting blueprints/sketches/specifications to spray gel coat into molds.
• Select appropriate paint/mix paints.
• Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings.
• Prepare and apply stencils, decals or other decorative items on finished products.
• Cut, prepare, glaze, and fabricate flat glass for buildings and fixtures.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Completion of college or vocational/technical training.
• 3+ years of experience working with resinous solvent drying paints, and plastic, rubber, glass and ceramic materials.
• Experienced in using hand-held spray guns and abrasive disc wheels.
• Has previously worked with commercial and residential glass and thorough knowledge of the flat glass fabrication and glazing process.
