CHOPPER GUN OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Coat molds or parts with glass reinforcement.
• Apply resin by brush, roller or spray using a cup gun.
• Operate equipment to meet planned production and quality targets.
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment.
• Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products.
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers.
• Clean work areas and equipment.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Completion of college or equivalent technical/vocational training in plastics technology.
• Be in good physical condition and capable of heavy lifting (50lbs).
• Completion of high school and vocational training.
• Have steel toe safety shoes and safety glasses.
• Has own transportation and valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license.
PERFORMANCE COMPETENCE AND CRITERIA:
• Able to remain calm and productive under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of multi-tasking and possesses a good work ethic.
