Job Description:
Ensures quality and productivity levels by training, motivating and leading production crews in order to meet customer requirements and deadlines. Key Responsibilities 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor coordinates the flow of materials between production departments to eliminate downtime, reduce setup time, improve quality, verify quality controls. Checks job tickets to insure all materials are available (paper, press plates, proofs, etc.). Ensures personnel are accounted for and adhering to break and meal schedules. Assists in decision making on questions and trouble issues after hours, and escalates to appropriate manager when necessary. Performs random quality and process checks. Provides updates to manufacturing managers and scheduling on production, employee issues, etc. Monitors building security-patrols building and grounds and reports any incidents or deficiencies to the appropriate manager. After hours point of contact for customer press checks, snd outside vendors.Facilitates root cause creation and resolves root cause issues.Participates in reporting and measurements, other responsibilities as assigned.
