Job Description:
This position can be extremely demanding at times, but it also allows the individual to learn and to be involved in all aspects of the business. Responsible for safety, manufacturing quality, on-time shipping, production management, and labor relations. Monitor performance versus plan and take necessary action to meet plan. Manage daily activities in assigned production area. Supervisor factory employees (any shift). Coordinate production assignments and other activities. Develop and lead in a team-oriented environment. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement required. Document and provide training. Support development, documentation, and implementation of processes, procedures, and shop documentation. Follow and comply with ISO and environmental policies and procedures. Perform other duties as described under the direction of the plant manager/factory manager. Make timely decisions and maintain accountability for such decisions in area of reasonability. Qualifications Associate\'s degree required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an associate\'s degree. Supervisory experience or significant leadership experience required. Working knowledge of Lean and 6 Sigma preferred. Must be able to understand and administer a collective bargaining agreement.
