Job Description:
The incumbent will maintain a manual production schedule which specifies what items will be manufactured, when the jobs will be released and when the job will be completed. The incumbent ensures that the release of planned jobs is entered into the computer system, SAP and uses the MRP functions to plan inventory replenishment. The incumbent must participate in resolving logistic problems and providing alternative courses of action to minimize lost production time and to meet the customers' requirements. The incumbent plans and coordinates production through procurement, receiving, machining, assembly, finishing, packing and shipping. This planning and coordination will be accomplished through the civilian foremen, inmate clerks and indirect supervision of inmate workers so as to maintain a smooth workflow and meet scheduled delivery dates. Incumbent reviews and analyzes contracts, drawings and specifications. The incumbent checks bid requests, cost estimates, contracts, specifications and drawings to ascertain that all characteristics therein are complied with and are compatible to each other with the process capabilities of the factory. The incumbent explains and relates contractual obligations, specifications, preservation, and packing and shipping instructions to impacted personnel.How You Will Be Evaluated: Your qualifications for this position will be evaluated based upon information contained in your resume and responses to the vacancy specific questions.
