Job Description:
Ensures that these websites support organizational communication goals of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County. Responsible for planning, creating, executing, editing and managing the District\'s communications through a variety of digital channels and media, including web sites, email, e-newsletters, e-alerts, newswires, and other subscription services. Develops, maintains and enforces web content standards. Evaluates and implements long range web content enhancements. Assists the Public Affairs Administrator as a back-up editor in the approval process for posting new web content. Coordinates a variety of web-based and general communications projects to keep the public, District employees, and the media aware of the District\'s programs, special projects, and accomplishments. Work requires extensive contact and excellent public relations skills in communicating with District staff to develop effective messaging and content for the web as well as other communications materials for community agencies, the general public, and media representatives. Work also requires good story-telling skills and research, as well as the development and maintenance of electronic libraries for such materials as photos, news releases, biographies, presentations and news clippings for the Communications Department. Work requires some independent judgment and initiative and is performed under the direct supervision of the Administrator of Public Affairs. The E-Communications Media Specialist will also work closely with the web technology team in the IT department as well as key executive and departmental managers. Bachelor\'s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, IT, Public or Business Administration, or related is required.
