Job Description:
May manage multiple locations or micro region. This position may require up to 50% travel within the region. Key Responsibilities Serves as the primary point of contact and resource for home facility environmental, health & safety issuesDevelops and implements cost-effective EHS programs that ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and RRD policies relating to the environment.Obtain all required permits for the processes, equipment or discharges generated at the facility.Develops and maintains a management system so that the facility is capable of verifying compliance with all applicable regulations. Submits all required reports to the regulatory agencies on a timely basis.Promptly addresses enforcement issues, accidents and control device malfunctions with the assistance of corporate EHS and legal.Develops and implements proactive programs designed to reduce workers' compensation costs, injuries and illnesses.Ensure the impact of regulatory changes on the businesses are being managed at the facilityProvides technical expertise to manufacturing, engineering and facilities personnel in evaluating the environmental, safety and health aspects of manufacturing processes, chemical use and operational designs.Develops and provides environmental, safety and health training programs to ensure employee knowledge and understanding of safety and environmental regulations and requirements.Monitors facility performance against EHS goals and objectivesParticipate in the acquisition, relocation, modification, closure and decommissioning of any affected facility, equipment or processEnsure EHS risk analyses are performed, communicated and solutions implemented.Support home facility security issues and loss preventionPerforms other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in environmental safety or industrial hygiene. Advanced degree and Certification/License: CIH, CSP, CPE, preferred.
