Job Description:

Develop and maintain a system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial information based on the concepts of Sarbanes Oxley regulations. Ensure financial events are recorded in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Perform complex research and oversee the implementation of new accounting authoritative statements. Compare actual performance with operating plans and report and interpret the results of operations to all levels of management and the Board of Directors. Establish direction for accounting and finance functions of the organization. Including evaluation of business unit accounting shared services, long range planning and financial planning and analysis. Manage various special projects throughout the year including analysis of accounting implications of capital projects and due diligence related to acquisition activities. Review and provide high-level assistance in the development of divisional/subsidiary budgets and forecasts. Maintain relationships with external auditors including definition of scope, negotiation of fees and resolution of any issues.
