Job Description:
Will oversee and manage the Environmental Program and contract execution at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC). Management functions include assuring that cost, schedule, and technical objectives of this contract are achieved; managing and reporting on the Contractor’s and subcontractor’s activities; communicating with NASA managers, regulatory personnel, and technical personnel; accomplishing major procurement activities, repair and updating systems as required; negotiating credibly and representing NASA as an efficient, effective, and innovative leader in the environmental field. Required Skills 5 years continuous work experience as an environmental manager at a large, multi-employer and multi-discipline Federal aerospace (preferred) or commercial manufacturing facility, operating as a large quantity generator of hazardous wastes, and plant operations preferably in an ozone non-attainment area. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a must. 15+ years of continuous experience in multiple, major, environmental programs with a demonstrated record of compliance and continual improvement, and recent Texas environmental experience working with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Texas.
