Job Description:
You will serve as the top Division staff expert in all matters and functions related to engineering, construction, dam safety and water management. Perform regular staff assistance visits to districts to evaluate overall effectiveness of their engineering, design and construction programs and makes recommendations to the Commander for areas requiring improvement. Provide guidance on engineering and construction organization, structure, manpower, budget, and training needs to the Regional Business Director. Monitor trends and changes in technical policy at Army and Headquarters USACE level for impacts on engineering and construction programs of the Division and apprise the Director of potential issues and impacts. Manage the division program for quality management and quality assurance of engineering and construction products and services, provide or arrange for needed development and training, and make decisions on non-routine, costly, or controversial training needs/requests.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify you must possess 1 year of specialized experience. The best qualified candidates for this job must show, on their resume, they meet the minimum qualifications described above and have training and/or experience in the following areas: 1) Experience in engineering, construction and/or water management programs for Civil Works programs or engineering and construction Military and/or Environmental Programs, or other work that is in or related to the duties of this position. The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.
