Direct and provide staff and technical supervision and management control over the installation Environmental Compliance, Conservation and Pollution Prevention programs that embrace a wide range of complex subjects pertaining to the comprehensive research & development mission of the tenant activities. Advise the Director of areas requiring correction and command emphasis. You will coordinator on matters with the HQ and Northeast Region Installation Management Command offices and represents at technical conferences and meetings with DOD, DA, IMCOM, and federal, state and local regulatory agencies.Qualifications:Click on link below to view qualification standard. General Schedule Basic Requirement: Must have a bachelor's degree directly related to this occupation. SPECIALIZIED EXPERIENCE: This position requires one year of specialized experience which demonstrates the applicants: (1) professional and practical knowledge of environmental engineering or environmental science, (2) knowledge of local, State, Federal laws and regulations impacting environmental management programs, (3) ability to negotiate solutions to controversial scientific and technical problems, and (4) knowledge and skill in conducting surveys and studies of installation operations. The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement. Your pay will be set within the range specified in this vacancy announcement and will be based on your qualification, education, experience, training, and availability of funds. NSPS positions are excluded from time-in-grade restrictions. Education can be substituted for experience.
