Job Description:

The Collector is responsible for negotiating payment arrangements with customers on outstanding balances via the telephone.
Responsibilities
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls
• Negotiate and offer repayment solutions in accordance with client and company guidelines
• Determine reason for delinquency
• Gather and track customer’s financial information
• Evaluate and assess customer’s credit and financial situation
• Direct customers to viable payment sources
Job Requirements:
This position requires one year experience working in a mortgage or call center/collection environment. The ideal candidate has to be detailed oriented and have the ability to document information on a computer while effectively communicating with the customer via the telephone. The candidate has to be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekend and have good typing skills. A High School diploma is required, Associates degree or some college coursework preferred.
