ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following: 1. Negotiate with customers and carriers to secure freight and capacity and maximize profitability for the branch. 2. Will discuss the start up process (red carpet), growth opportunities, lanes that were priced but never transpired, service factors, and answer general concerns that a new existing customer might have. 3. This position will be responsible for generating new sales leads and providing capacity solutions. 4. Cover random freight within one s own specific region. Random freight will be referred to as any freight that is not allocated and would not be considered seasonally established within ICS. 5. Service responsibility for all accounts handled by their regional managers. 6. Monitor, proactively anticipate and solve problems related to service for all loads handled on each fleet. 7. Responsible for the day to day operations dealing with the customer and a liaison to the operations group. 8. Work on all seasonal and short term opportunities that a customer might have.
