Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry 5 plus years' in a clinical laboratory setting as a medical technologist with specialization in blood bank or equivalent education and/or experience American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory (NCA), National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NALCP) with Specialist Certification in Blood Bank (SBB) Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills Strong analysis/problem solving skills; proven leadership skills Ability to communicate effectively within the operating unit and management of personnel and to elicit cooperation Performance improvement process skills planning, budgeting and fiscal management skills Computer applications to include word processing, spread sheets, relational databases Advanced medical terminology Issues related to management of blood bank protocols and practices Work requires fairly light physical exertion from 34 to 65% of the time with ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs or less Prefer:
