The position has primary appointment in the Clinical Diagnostics/Early Clinical Development division of the Development organization, and will lead a clinical development group focused on biomarkers and diagnostics for molecules in Immunology, Tissue Growth and Repair. The group works on defining the clinical goals for diagnostics, discovery and verification of biomarkers and early development of companion diagnostics. The Senior Clinical Scientist will have lead multi-disciplinary development teams to discover and validate diagnostics in immunology and other related medical fields and integrate them into clinical development and post-marketing programs.Responsibilities:develop strategies for evaluating novel biomarkers and technologies as potential predictive companion diagnostics for disease areas and specific molecule programs; build internal alignment on strategy, obtain approval and secure sustainable resources to implement strategy;design and oversee implementation of clinical trials with primary endpoints related to understanding of disease pathogenesis and development of diagnostic assays;provide expert advice to other clinical teams for the optimal design and conduct of clinical trials with diagnostics or biomarker endpoints;this is a significant leadership role and the individual must lead a diagnostics development team focused on rheumatology as well as provide oversight and guidance for clinical scientist leading diagnostics development teams in several disease areas.Requirements:
