Job Description:

The TDDs shall support the Studio Directors to excel in each area of market specialization. The TDD shall:Establish realistic budget, schedule and scope for deliverables with the Project Director, Manager and PAIdentify the proper PA and technical staffing for each project with the office operations directors. Recruit technical staff in sufficient numbers to adequately staff projects.Mentor and train the project team continuously throughout the development of the project.Participate in formal staff evaluations and reviews.Act as the arbiters regarding the technical quality of our work. Determine if any set of documents is suitable for signing and sealing by a Principal and if suitable to release outside of the office.Guide and monitor the progress of projects to ensure timely completion of high-quality deliverables.Identify problem projects and formulate remedial action.Work along side the Operations Directors of each office to coordinate efforts.Demonstrate technical excellence to our staff, peers, architecture students, and our clients through public speaking, teaching, articles and participation in professional organizations. TDDs shall be assigned maximum of 20 hours per week to an individual project (as approved by the Technical Design Principal).
